So for those of you who haven’t heard, it looks like I’ll be leaving State College when my lease is up next month. No more grading stacks of instruction sets, no more boring parties where people complain about their teaching, no more pretending not to see the smug Marxist wankers in the halls with their European facial hair and their beady little eyes. Shudder.
No I’ll be (somewhere) in that sprawling wasteland called "the real world," trying to find a way to get paid to sit on the beach and drink pina coladas. Perhaps I’ll be a "cocktail quality control consultant," or a "sand profiler." Natural resources auditor specializing in wet/dry border zones?
To all my non-Nittany friends, you might want to clear out a spot on your couch, just in case. Me and my sleeping bag could show up in early August.

We’re all major bummed about your news, Zack! Team Mowf will miss your leadership, and the Fictioneers will suffer the loss of another elder. Now we’ll have to shave Zed’s head and hope he can lead the way for the younglings.
However, it is healthy to get the hell out of State College. I think this will prove to be a good thing for you. The real world is actually not all that bad, and it’s not entirely unhealthy for a writer to go on adventures. . .

Actually, if you liked Glacier NP you should think about letting the Empire train drop you off at the front gate (really). Best of all, the train heads West.
